76ers Will Host Knicks in Game 5

Philadelphia Will Not Go Down Without a Fight

Close Series Will Be Decided by Game 5

The Philadelphia 76ers are still alive in the first round of the 2023-24 NBA playoffs. They will host the New York Knicks in Game 5 on Tuesday night. The Knicks have a 3-1 lead in the series, and therefore, a chance to advance to the second round with a win.

No big surprises here: Sixers star Joel Embiid is once again listed as questionable. Embiid has been dealing with a foot injury for most of the season, and he missed the first two games of the series against the Knicks. He returned in Game 3 and played 36 minutes, but he was clearly not 100%.

When the Sixers submitted their injury report to the NBA on Friday night, Embiid was deemed probable to play. However, his status is still up in the air. If Embiid is unable to play, or if he is not at full strength, it would be a major blow to the Sixers' chances of winning Game 5.

The Knicks have been the better team in the series so far. They have won three of the four games by an average of 10 points. They have also been able to limit Embiid's production. In the three games he has played, Embiid has averaged just 20.3 points per game.

The Sixers will need to play their best game of the series if they want to win Game 5 and force a Game 6. They will need to get more production from Embiid, and they will need to find a way to slow down the Knicks' offense.

The Knicks are a tough opponent, but the Sixers are not going to go down without a fight. They have shown a lot of resilience this season, and they will be looking to make one more push in Game 5.
