Bluders Hawkeyes Advance To Semifinals After Upset Win

Iowa Rebounds for Final Four Matchup

Bluder's Hawkeyes Advance to Semifinals After Upset Win

Meyer's Stellar Performance Leads Iowa to Triumph

Iowa head coach Lisa Bluder couldn't contain her excitement as she spoke to reporters ahead of the Final Four matchup on Tuesday. After pulling off a major upset against the top-seeded Stanford Cardinal on Friday, the Hawkeyes are poised to make a deep run in the tournament.

Bluder attributed her team's success to their relentless rebounding efforts. "Someone described rebounding as hustle in a bottle," she said. "And that's what we did tonight. We brought the hustle, and we got the rebounds."

Junior forward Maddie Meyer was a force on the boards, securing 15 rebounds in the victory. "I just tried to be aggressive and go for every rebound," Meyer said. "I knew it was important for us to control the boards, and I'm glad I could contribute."

Iowa's upset win has sent shockwaves through the NCAA tournament. The Hawkeyes will now face the No. 4-seeded Louisville Cardinals in the Final Four semifinals on Sunday. If they can continue their stellar play, they have a chance to make history and bring the NCAA championship trophy back to Iowa City.
