José Ramiro Funes Mori was born on 5 March 1991 in Mendoza, Argentina. He began his professional career with River Plate in 2011, and has since played for Everton, Villarreal, and now back with River Plate.

Playing style

Funes Mori is a centre-back who is known for his strength, aerial ability, and tackling. He is also a good passer and can play out from the back.

International career

Funes Mori has represented Argentina at various youth levels, and made his senior debut in 2015. He was part of the Argentina squad that won the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
