Jorge Pereyra Díaz Signs Contract Extension with Mumbai City FC
Argentine Striker Extends Stay Until 2025
Mumbai City FC announced on Friday that Argentine forward Jorge Pereyra Díaz has signed a one-year contract extension.
Diaz, who has been with Mumbai City since 2022, has been a key player for the club, scoring 11 goals in 20 appearances during the 2023-24 season. He has also been a part of the team's success in the Indian Super League, winning the league title in 2022 and the Indian Super Cup in 2023.
Diaz, 33, is a product of the River Plate youth system and has played for several clubs in Argentina, including Lanús, Godoy Cruz, and Independiente. He has also had stints in Mexico, Turkey, and Hungary.
The Argentinian striker is known for his speed, dribbling skills, and ability to score goals from all over the pitch. He is a versatile player who can play both as a center forward and as a winger.
Diaz is a welcome addition to Mumbai City FC's squad as they look to defend their Indian Super League title and make a strong run in the AFC Champions League.
