José Ramiro Funes Mori (born March 5, 1991) is an Argentine professional footballer who plays as a center-back for River Plate. He was born in Mendoza, Argentina.

Club Career

Funes Mori began his career at River Plate in 2009, making his debut in the Argentine Primera División in 2010. He played for River Plate until 2015, winning two Argentine Primera División titles (2014, 2015) and one Copa Sudamericana (2014).

In 2015, Funes Mori moved to England to join Everton, where he played for four seasons. During his time at Everton, he made over 100 appearances and scored 14 goals. He played for Al Sadd in Qatar from 2019 to 2023 before returning to River Plate.

International Career

Funes Mori has represented Argentina at various youth levels and made his senior debut in 2012. He was part of the Argentina squad that won the 2014 FIFA World Cup and the 2015 Copa América.
